Summary of Standard Manufacturer’s Warranty Coverage

Getac warrants its Getac-branded rugged computers against defects in materials and workmanship under normal use for a period of THREE (3) YEARS from the date of purchase by the original end-user purchaser or from the Getac shipping date when proof of purchase is not available (“Warranty Period”). This warranty applies only to products sold by Getac or its Authorized Distributors and serviced within territories supported by Getac’s Authorized Service Providers.

Under this standard warranty, if a hardware defect arises and a valid claim is submitted within the Warranty Period, Getac will, at its discretion and as permitted by law:

  • Repair the product using new or refurbished parts, or
  • Replace the product with a new or refurbished unit of equal or equivalent functionality.
    Replacement products assume the remaining warranty of the original device or a 90-day warranty from the repair/replacement date, whichever is longer.

Exclusions and Limitations

The standard manufacturer’s warranty does NOT include accidental damage coverage.
The warranty does not apply to:

  • Damage resulting from accidents, drops, liquid exposure, or environmental conditions outside Getac’s published guidelines
  • Consumable items such as screen protectors, labels, cases, straps, holsters, etc.
  • Cosmetic damage not affecting functionality
  • Improper use, unauthorized service, modifications, or use of non-Getac parts
  • Loss or corruption of data
  • Batteries beyond the standard one-year battery warranty
  • Non-Getac hardware or software bundled or sold with the device

Before requesting service, review Getac’s online support resources at www.getac.com. If your device still requires attention, contact Getac’s customer support team. A Getac representative will determine whether the product requires service and will provide instructions for obtaining warranty repairs.

Getac may require proof of purchase, product registration, or other documentation before providing warranty service. Shipping and handling fees may apply depending on the service location and warranty guidelines.

If your device stores data, back up all software and data prior to service. Getac is not responsible for loss of programs, data, or other information.
